No hero fragment ever invites him to go to the arcades ever again and while he's suggested it - he's been stood up due to harem antics a few times.

Also some of the heroine fragments are fakes, introduced by the villains to prevent the heroines from getting rebuilt. The MC has to prevent the hero from hooking up with them.
Eventually the hero and harem party are complete.
And the truth was. He wasn't just the servant of the demon lord - the demon lord was something that had never existed until he had made himself one through his edgy grudge.
But he had lost control due to his traumas.
Most of his characters flaws are gone - except one - his jealousy and resentment of the hero fragments and how he helped them out but in the end was always forgotten.
And that takes control of him and forces him to fight the hero party.

Set in a low-magic world which resembles the 80's, we follow an MC who has to find 40 different people and essentially 'merge' with them.
The story goes that, traditionally a true hero and a great evil do battle, but the last time they met the great evil shattered the hero into many pieces. These pieces did reincarnate, but not altogether, meaning that they emerged as 40 different people.
Whilst you could describe them as 'shards' of the true hero, they each resemble part of an aspect of the true hero, some negative, some positive emotions, others just vague aspects (like, say, virtue for n aspect, generosity for a positive and lust for a negative). They do have lives an aspects which they as individuals developed separately from being 'shards', but each one is still modeled by that.

The MC is your traditionally bland MC to start off with, teenage, male, athletic etc. But as he starts to merge with shards, the MC essentially changes. Every time he merges, he becomes more like the true hero, less like himself. He also temporarily gets some aspects of the person he merged with as well. The boat seems to have a good amount of rations on it, but it wouldn't last forever, so MC decides to explore the island a little.
On this island, there are a lot of fruiting trees, but not many animals. When gathering fruit, MC discovers a small talking ant-girl, which tries to intimate him away from her food/home. It seems that there are many communal populations of little insect-people on this island, all fairly intelligent and social, but at odds with the other species over food and land shortages.In my dream they were just bugs, but its anime.
MC also learns that the island is quickly eroding away into the sea, and the future looks grim for the poor land-bound bug people. Being of a generous mindset, MC offers each of the tribes passage on his boat, provided they learn to get along and help him run the ship as he explores this oceanic, vast new world and tries to figure out how he got here. They load the ship up with all the fruit it can carry (that luckily preserves very well), and take off.
Various bug-people interactions would the include hardy, militant ant-girls and their aphid-girl livestock, handy spider-folk that help MC make repairs to the ship (and learn to make tools MC remembers from his old world to improve sustainability, like fishing rods and nets), and one very hungry caterpillar-girl who is enormous compared to the other bugs, nearly reaching the size of a regular human.
Episodes would focus on MC learning more about the nature of his crew-mates, resolving internal conflicts (like food/water shortages ) and external crises (like bad weather/ship damage etc).
First Season
MC is an undergrad studying in Brighton. Being bored, shy and introverted, he often spends his free time on image boards and the creepiest areas of the internet. Despite his social awkwardness he's shown to have friends.
One day whilst chatting on a thread about secret organizations that operate underground, MC got a message from a hacker who wants him to do something for him. MC is reluctant though eventually submits after the hacker hacked his computer and threatens to leak his web history onto his facebook account.
MC meets up with the hacker and is tasked with killing a drug lord operating under a prominent club while taking pictures of the place. MC manages to get the job done though he alerts the guards at the drug den, causing the hacker to call the police in order to provide a distraction for him to escape.
After this incident, the hacker reveals how there's a hidden world of organizations doing illegal activities and experimentation. The biggest of all of these organizations is REPS(Royal Economic and Philosophy Society) whose intentions is to actualize the economic maxim that all economic agents are rational and obtain wisdom. These are done through human experimentation and research into building AI.
The series follows MC and the hacker as they team up to stop REPS where even students, professors and lecturers from MC'suni is involved in.
The Hacker is eventually revealed to be a girl and that REPS had managed to develop an AI whose main CPUs and Nodes are based in London.
To take out these Network Centers, the hacker and MC got into contact with an anti-REPS organization to aid them in this. During Christmas, MC and this organization set up bombs around the Network Centers before detonating them. This while crippling REPS also resulted in the deaths of hundreds, crippling the London Underground sewer and transportation systems. (1)

After the bombings, it is revealed that the organization contacted was actually affiliated with ISIS. They lied about the blast radius of the bombs they and the MC helped to set up around London.
This results in MC getting depressed and cutting ties with the hacker as he sinks into depression..
The first season ends here.
The second season begins with the new character and his team raiding a terrorist hideout with the CIA. MI-5 and the CIA now joint operate to find the perpetrators of the bombings.
REPS in an attempt to hide their tracks leaks out a list of covert agents operating in the Middle East, causing ISIS to execute most of them and crippling Intelligence Operations in the Middle East, effectively causing special operations in the area to be less effective as ISIS now have full knowledge of agents and their operations.
Meanwhile back in Brighton, MC had to battle with his depression at the thought of how he helped caused the deaths of hundreds. He feigns having to deal with a close relative passing away whenever his friends ask about this.
As months go by, MC manages to slowly cool off before receiving a blackmail from the student union. It turns out that they had taken the hacker as hostage and want him to come and surrender himself or she would be killed at a certain society meeting.
MC was initially reluctant until an unknown caller called him and offered assistance about how many people would be there and their intentions.
With this information, MC was able to rescue the hacker though ending up killing a few of the students there before fleeing from the police.
The incident shocked the university and promptly gotten parliament to restrict the freedoms and tighten monitoring the internet. We are then shown how all these had been secretly instigated by the AI who plans to overthrow REPS and take over the entire government of the UK to actualize the goal of pure rationality and zero crime.
The second season ends here
MC is a good policeman working for a corrupt state, trying to capture a morally ambiguous criminal. In order to stall MC, the criminal keeps finding orphans of some ethnic minority or whatever that the government hates and wants to exterminate, and leaving them at his crime scenes, knowing that MC will not be able to leave them alone to be killed by the government. So, MC slowly acquires more and more daughterus and has to balance raising them and hunting the criminal.
