Ballet manga were pretty popular in the seventies and a lot of shoujo mangaka from that period were also ballerinas as kids/teenagers. There's actually a Japanese book about it that has interviews with Hagio Moto, Ariyoshi Kyoko, Maya Mineo, Ryoko Yamagashi, etc
I'd recommend Swan by Ariyoshi Kyoko, it's like the Yowamushi Pedal of ballet manga. There's a lot of information in it.

An extremely literal translation would be "a composition with flowers (in it)"
But 花のある used in the context of not actual flowers, is more akin to 'pertaining the characteristics of flowers', mostly the associated elements like beauty/elegance and not the anatomy like petals, stalk, and whatever.
I approve of a certain 'artistic' license and the usage of non-conventional words in place of more 'boring' ones, as the manga itself sort of does that at times. In the case of 'flowering' vs 'flowery' however, I can't see much to argue about. I'm happy either way the editor goes.

I'm a little confused by Chapter 32. So what did Chinatsu and Tatara enter at the Shizuoka Grand Prix? If it's just the preliminaries, does that mean they just stay as D-rank even if they took first, or would they have advanced to C-rank? Because Chapter 32 says that they need to win the A-rank to get to A-rank and qualify to enter the actual Grand Prix competition, right?
