You know how they say "show don't tell?" Well they do some things, and they passively tell you what it's supposed to mean in the grand scheme of things but then it never really meshes with everything else that's going on? Basically everything involving Erio, Caro and Lutecia serve basically no purpose to the rest of the series and Lutecia's portrayal in Vivid is so different she might as well be an OC for Vivid.
They seem like such an afterthought that I would've rather had an episode about Captain Quickscopes going to a fucking VA hospital support group to deal with his PTSD cause they at least tried to make you give a shit about him in an half-assed organic way rather than "hey these are Fate's kids, care about them you faggots."
It's especially egregious in comparison to Subaru and Teana who are pretty well-developed(for the bar the franchise sets, anyway).
If the next Nanoha thing that isn't just everybody's favorite lesbian family doing something mundane like afterschool martial arts, isn't literally just a simple Indiana Jones/Star Wars kind of story(get the magic relic, stop the evil magic superweapon and the bad guys) but with a bunch of magical girls, and with the absolute minimum amount of OCs they need to tell the story, they are trying too hard to punch above their weight class, like a paraplegic picking a fight with Pacquiao.

I watched A's, and while I had a lingering fear that they would not be able to top it, I guessed the attempt would have been great enough anyway.
