Aren't international releases handled by different publishers who buy the rights? So it's not like there is one entity who does an international release, and original publisher isn't going to care about advertising something of low demand. All the publishers involved in releasing it internationally would have to get together to back an adaption. I would imagine that the international market for nip LNs doesn't warrant a fully produced animu, at least one with the quality that we want.
It's a good thing it'll never be adapted, people would find out how shit it really is and LNfags would have to do massive damage control by blaming it on the adaptation yet again.

The series is full of plot twists that I can never predict but make perfect sense in hindsight. The author has this way of leading everyone down the garden path.
Also, the mind games and mindfuckery is brilliant.

to be fair, togashi never take hiatuses, he makes hiatus arcs
Is there any precedent for something like this being adapted? I can't think of anything so I don't exactly have high hopes.
Just finished volume 2 and it was a bit of a challenging read but it's actually good (not just compared to LNs which is a very low standard).

It's true that every LN is always overrated as fuck including Hakomari, but it's still very good.
Even with its flaws and edginess, it would still be one of the wildest rides in anime.

It is more like revelation. The dialogue is what makes the story fascinating. Far from cliched tropes of the demon lord stories. It makes you unexpectedly the emotional impact of the narrative as well as the interaction between the characters.

Are the later volumes more straightforward than volume 2?
I just finished vol.2 in Japanese and I don't know if it's my poor Japanese reading comprehension or whatever but seemed really convoluted and confusing compared to volume 1. Also Riko's monologues were really irritating to read.

Not really. After volume 2, the arcs are two books each. So the storytelling is a bit slower, but in exchange you have longer and more detailed plots.
