Minasan, ogenki desu ka?
All these drug busted and dead seiyuus have got me worried. I hope they hurry up with S2.
I almost made the thread last night because I thought it was Tuesday and I was almost waiting around for 4 hours but then I realized it's only monday in most parts of the world but it's Tuesday here and lucky I didn't. Oh well. Yukari is cool. Fumi is cool too.
>>133090256
Like some guy in one thread recently said, "they're too pure to do this sort of thing", and tht mean's even dying, we'll surely get a season 2 just dont you'better believe we will buddy boy.
>>133090256
With all these drug busted and dead seiyuus, the chances only increase, right? Are we cursed? Pain comes to others but we get a better chance of a S2?
>>133091226
Well, I guess if the yuyu seiyuus were the only ones left alive, we might have a chance.

Fumi is love.
>>133091668
Man, Fumi is a bit underrated, I'll say. I think I can relate to Fumi the most and that's why I like her, but Yukari is the cutest.
That poster looks sweet.
>>133091942
Fumi seems to be having a bit of trouble.I bet shes doing it on purpose to get kei's attention.
Sell drugs to all the seiyuu besides the Yuyu ones. That way all other anime sequels will be canceled and S2 will be the only possible choice for producers.
>>133092300
What if one of them shares her drugs with a Yuyu seiyuu?
Reminder that we're not dead yet, /yys/.

>>133093989
Yeah, too right. I'd say Kei has the least fans though. I can't remember any at least. Kei is alright. She goes well with Fumi to say the least.
>>133094171
I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I like Kei a lot more than Fumi at least.
>>133094340
Well, by 'fan of Kei', she would be your favourite. I just don't see that all that often. The 3 main girls are the most often, there's the Ai-chan poster and occasionally Fumi, but no Kei.
Kei and Fumi have a lot of fan-art though.
>>133094447
They are the best pairing after all. The only one I can ship at least.
I'm currently sick and rewatching the show. Do others wave back at Yuzuko during the end credits or is it just me?

Mathematics is basically humanities at this point. I would consider your opinion if you were at least an engineer.

>Humanities are alright in moderation.
Next thing you know, you'll be living in a barrel, plucking chickens and masturbating in public.
>>133116372
Math is definitely a very esoteric (relatively) branch of the humanities. Humanities in general are great, once you get away from shit that was overly influenced by Plato or Marx.

You're absolutely right, anon, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
>>133116785
Please define study.
>>133116899
Please define "define".
>>133116785
>a study of human culture
humanities are actually much broader than that, though.
Math isn't a natural science, nor is it an applied field (usually). Its closest cousin would probably be philosophy.
Also you get into interesting arguments within math, for example in nonstandard analysis, axiom of choice vs axiom of determinacy in game theory, and all sorts of stuff I'm not familiar with. These are not scientific, at all, and very characteristic of the humanities
>>133117645
>nor is it an applied field (usually)
I find this highly offensive. Virtually all branches of mathematics have been applied to some other sciences.
>Also you get into interesting arguments within math
Do not lump mathematics and mathematical philosophy together. That's like equating physics with metaphysics.
>>133117985
>I find this highly offensive.
why?
>Virtually all branches of mathematics have been applied to some other sciences.
and art is applied to advertising, still art
>>133117985
>Do not lump mathematics and mathematical philosophy together. That's like equating physics with metaphysics.
Not really. The jihad against infinitesimals was an important part of the shift to a fully axiomatic style of mathematics that fundamentally reshaped the field.
>>133117645
>math isn't a natrual science
The empirical definition of science is a relatively recent one. The field of sciences, or natural philosophies, includes both philosophy and mathematics. Also not being highly applied does not mean math isn't a science (let along a humanities).
>Also you get into interesting arguments within math, for example in nonstandard analysis, axiom of choice vs axiom of determinacy in game theory
For those that don't know nonstandard analysis is doing analysis without limits and using infinitesimals (reciprocal cardinal numbers); the axiom of choice is part of a formulation of set theory, called ZF axioms. It's shown that axiom of choice and the other ZF axioms are consistent with and independent to each other, and it sometimes useful (allows you to prove Zorn's lemma, every vector space has a basis, etc.) and sometimes worrisome (the Banach-Tarski "paradox").
Those do not support your point. They're essentially the manifestation of mathematical research: "I wonder what would happen if I change the axioms." There's nothing up for debate about them, except regarding their usefulness. Unintuitiveness of the results of mathematics does not make it into a humanities subject.
>>133118274
>natural philosophies, includes both philosophy and mathematics
Yeah, 300 years ago.
At best you could say that math is a separate branch unto itself, but I think that's selling it short. Math is too much fun to be stuck in some intellectual ghetto.
>>133118461
>300 years old
Doesn't mean it's not useful; in fact it's useful now. And even if we're using the empirical definition of science math still would not become a humanities subject. Not science does not imply humanities.
>say math is a branch onto itself
No one's saying it, and I also object to this. There's no point in doing so.
>sweet a yuyu thread
>scroll to the bottom because I sometimes read threads backwards for whatever reason.
I've got to stop doing that. What the fuck are you turbonerds going on about? Whatever, I just came here to say that I want to confess to okaasan-sensei in front of her class.

>>133118637
Modern science is empirical, math is not. If it's not science and not in the humanities, then where is it?
>Not science does not imply humanities.
I agree, but math is very much like art in my book, given how aesthetic it is. Most people would consider it most related to philosophy, though.
>>133118702

>>133118889
>it's not science
It is. I don't give a fuck what "modern science" has to say about this (which is nothing, since this is a philosophical problem).
>where is it
It's [math] \in \left\{\text{Sciences}\right\} \setminus \left\\text{EmpiricalSciences}\right\ [/math]
The subjects left out of the category "sciences" after the introduction of "empirical sciences" doesn't get automatically moved to "humanities".
>>133119106
Fuck; it should be "...\left\{\text{Emp..."

>>133119043

>>133118889
Math is a formal science.
>>133119256
It'd make a good band name.
>>133119106
It's definitely not a natural science. I don't think either of us want to lump it in with the "social "sciences"". And like I've been saying, math has very strong connections to philosophy and art, so I'm comfortable labeling it a humanities subject regardless.
>>133119219

http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/kant-science/
The beauty of mathematics isn't the same as the beauty of art. One's formal and another's aesthetic. "Having beauty" is not enough of a justification to lump both together.
