I'm disappointed we didn't get any illustrations of the Overlords that guard the library. I want to see what they typically dress like in lieu of Ainz's god level gear and if they have weird chins as a racial trait or not (Ainz looked the same as a Skeleton Mage, so probably not).

Shalltear and Lupus for instance actually don't have to be invited to enter a house. Shalltear has no problems with running water.
Think of the myths more as guidelines than laws. The devs probably felt too many restrictions on the player's behavior would suck the fun out of things. I know it personally would be annoying as fuck if I was playing an undead and suddenly I have to count ten billion grains of rice individually. Even more so when players start exploiting it via magic or their huge inventory space.

Under DnD rules Shalltear would have been destroyed from taking that bath in approximately 18 seconds not counting any regen she might have. (going by the fact that the other females considered it running water.) 1/3 of max HP a round. Each round is 6 seconds. When hp hits 0 Vampire is outright destroyed. She also would never be able to look in a mirror or at Lupus thanks to Lupus's weapon.

I'm thinking the big chin was something Satoru implemented. You know how in certain custom character games where you can decide things like how wide their noses are? I guess in Ygg you can drag the slider far out for chins.
In real life, it's important to make a skeleton character stand out. Look at all these skull guys I found here, you'd never mistake one for the other, even though, realistically, they'd look about the same. Though, some of them don't really look like skulls at all, and in my opinion, that kind of suffer for it, because a skull is already perfect. I think Maruyama and/or So-Bin did a good job making Ainz both unique and skull-like enough, even if the chin's weird to think about. It would be terrible if he just had a lumpy circle skull like Jack, or looked like a snowman like Sans.

TLDR they are inspired by to an immense degree but the devs focused on making broken overpowered stuff and things for the players to enjoy rather than spend forever on tiny bits of fluff they probably forgot about.

Randomly toss more grains while they're being counted to force a restart. kick a pile they've already been through into an uncounted section whether it's physically , with a stick, or via magic, dump a silo of it, Illusion spam so that they have to burn through skills/spells to asses each individual object, buff to hell while the player is stuck counting. Build a house around the player, specify that the part the player is in is considered "outside."

I'm sure he did, otherwise they wouldn't know how to draw the BS members, but it doesn't seem like he provided enough material to make a younger Touch-Me and a younger Momonga.
I think the art-book gives us a glimpse on what was sent to the studio or not, I would assume the studio got the inspiration on how and what to draw using such art, but I don't really know how these studios handle such things.
