Why is this show so underrated? It's one of the funniest anime to come out since Nichibros yet nobody hardly talks about it.
Does it only have the one OVA I havent followed it since the tv series ended

Gintama is the funniest Anime.
Anything else is irrelevant.
Wish it still was the early 00s so this would've gotten 5 seasons like G*A
I had some extremely funny episodes and also some absolute duds. Kinda like Nichijou (or most comedies) I guess.
I didn't watch it until recently because I thought it was serious-ish like C3, but I liked it a lot now that I've seen it.

It's a good comedy but that's its undoing. Since it's episodic and short there isn't much to discuss. Even good deep and DEEP shows have been discussed to death so you rarely read about then in here.And watching it with you f/a/gs every week made it better,

Was my favourite seasonal anime when it aired and my pick for AOTS. Good characters and funny show overall, but uses the same recipe almost every time so I'm not craving so much for a season 2.
Would love it if this didn't sell like shit and get a second season.
