Actually, given that the anime tries to change around events to avoid stupid shit, while relegating them to appropriate humor moments I'm pretty happy with how it's being paced. No, you don't need 2 episodes of kaichou's reverse powerup asspulls and Issei talking to breasts, because those 2 episodes would completely fuck up the pacing of the season. Characters literally talking for paragraphs to explain the special secret powers is retarded when you can just show it since it's an anime. LNfags are retarded if they think that would make for good pacing in a one cour season.

Having the Loki arc before Juggernaut Drive fucks up the pacing more than anything.
Its going to make Issei struggling against some random devil powered up by drugs next arc seem idiotic coming from him taking down Fenrir.
Hell I'm more angry that the Loki arc got butchered and rushed than the rating game getting skipped.

Excep Ishibumi actually talks about working with the anime team in his site and on twitter, he even apologizes to them from time to time because he feels he forces him self too much into the anime.
Hell for S2 he gave a heads up about some of the changes like erina sticking around and shit, saying that he made the call and that thinking back on it it made more sense to have her there than just disapear for a volume like she did in the LNs.
