Has the series shown any other monstergirl-human relations besides the MC? It's weird that despite everything, it seems the only human that the monstergirls ever fall for is the MC. It basically turns it into another harem, albeit one with women with otherworldly appearances yet human breasts and vaginas, even though it has far more potential than that.

Monster Musume is cringe-worthy, but I have some chuckles over it. That said, it's definitely not their best work. I try to steer clear of that translator/adapter, which they thankfully list in their volumes, so I know what to avoid.
Like Biscuit Hammer, Centaur's Life, and Arpeggio of Blue Steel are leagues fucking better. It's all a matter of who is translating what and who is in charge of "localizing" the translations

Anyway, what I meant was that there is a specific branch of Japanese humour that use puns extensively, but which was not used in Crabman's works. And it is rather strange to try to add them in after the fact. The Japanese editor people might not see what the big deal of it all, but that's just what happens when you have the language barrier.
