The ending was excellent and the last episode is literally worth the roughly 400 minutes of talking.
I got a bit upset at episode 4 of endless eight because it was at that point I knew they were going for the full eight episodes.

Infinite Stratos kind of pissed me off.
Why isn't the school a proper military academy? These people are being trained with heavy weaponry to fight an active threat. Why are there no police or officials to regulate the weapon's operators? No less than 50 times in the first season was a fellow operator fired at with live ammunition or attacked with lethal weaponry. High levels of damage to facility property have gone unpunished as well.
On top of this, the harem is shit and we all know the shitty fucking tsundere is going to win from the very get-go.
I don't know about you, but if I had someone fire a live round at me because they were slightly jealous I would never ever be friends with that person. In fact I'd be the complete opposite.

The ending to this. It made me kind of angry, but for some reason it also made me lose consciousness. Only time I've ever passed out without being under the influence of medication or a substance. To this day, I don't understand why. I'm too scared to watch it again.
And it all went downhill from that point on.

There were no active threats until recent events. They just used the mechs to fight in tournaments or some shit. Obviously that's not the real case here and shit is happening in the background with all the nations and super weapons and what not, but the author doesn't want to talk about it.
IS sort of pissed me off to because of Ichika and his maximum betaness, but when I realized that he has literally never had a single constant in his life I thought better of him. I experienced emotions of anger and betrayal when I realized I was watching a show all about cute bullshit rather then a highschool band trying to make it big. Extreme action vs dialogue creates awesome shit like Redline.
Extreme dialogue vs action makes the action all the more sweeter, and prepares you for a grand finale.

The end of Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross. Easily the most anti-climactic and least satisfying ending to any anime I have EVER seen.
Runner-up is the ending to the first Ashita no Joe TV series. Thankfully series two came along and more than made up for it.
