But it's not like Trigger even tried doing anything interesting with it. Even if they weren't allowed to change the story in any way, the presentation was extremely lazy and generic. It seemed to me they just made it to desperately try and make people consider them a regular average anime company and temper the expectations of viewers anticipating if not quality, then maybe at least originality from their shows.

Honestly, it looks interesting, the worst thing about it is the female character designs, they not only fucked the original designs over, they look so out of fucking place it's absurd. The pic in there has a total of 12 characters, if you can easily say which are the 3 characters that don't fit in. If you are going fucking crazy with the designs, make everyone look crazy extreme, but nope, girls have to look like cute little generic shits or it won't sell, same thing that ruined Dumbpire adaptation.
It looks AWFUL, butchered designs, the character design is all over the fucking place, HORRIBLE highlights colors, lolsofannyxD "Kanada" animation that's really just shit, the action looks way too cartoony and lack any impact, and it's not even airing on TV.
