The soundtrack was really the best thing to come out of this adaptation, where when everything bar the animation quality failed it still managed to be consistently good. The staff for some reason though found it fitting to make it nigh-unhearable for the majority of the time, which was a real shame.

It's not a bad OST. It's just not unique at all. There's really nothing about the soundtrack that would really make it unique to Fate.
I really don't get it, especially since Ufotable proved with KnK that it can get god-tier soundtracks.

To be fair, Katou Tatsuya's OSTs are typically based as fuck (see Horizon, etc.).
From what we've seen so far, Fukusawa just isn't up to the task, so I won't even be surprised if his remix of Emiya is worse.
Then again, Kajiura's a good composer, but her remix of Sword of Promised Victory was mediocre.
