Not only Rin, but the vast majority of TM characters along with her. The original Mahoyo novel didn't really have illustrations AFAIK, but Takeuchi still made drawings of the main characters. There is a better pic out there with Aoko, Alice, Soujuurou and Touko, but I lost it a while back.
Now, Koyama's redesign is onbiously newer, but it's still based on Takeuchi's CM design which is in turn based on those originals.
