If it was deliberate the nods would much more obvious and acknowledged by the writer
And the story is a lot more similar than you make it seems.
There is a difference between referencing which is what they did with Edogawa and simply copy-pasting while giving a small spin which is what they did with Mouryou no Hako
Maybe if they got the design team from Gankutsuou to do it. But even if it sucked, I would still get to hear Rino Kawashima every week.

If it was ever adapted it'd be guaranteed to follow the Yuela route. Brooding tsundere female swordswoman with long straight black hair and red eyes whose story arc is probably the most straightforward and easy to adapt. It'd be easy to see she'd be the most popular choice.

No Eushully game will ever be adapted to anime form because it'd be way too hard to do and they aren't just limited to reading hours of text. For any given one be it a Battle Goddess, Princess General or Kamidori, you'd have to be willing to commit to sorting through not only 50+ hours of content about swords and sorcery, politics, lore and a complicated universe like Dir Lifynia that is tied together by entirely too many games at this point but also account for breakups in the flow of the narrative by hours of RPG/Strategy gameplay elements. Pretty much no matter what they tried it'd be crap for the same reasons the Persona anime and really most video game adaptations are. As in because you're essentially stripping it of half the reason their games are fun to play in the first place in switching it to a non-interactive medium.
Speaking of which Eushully and Alicesoft are underrated in my estimation. I guess some people just want to read though rather than having to actually think and plan out strategies and tactics, make weapons/armor, grind and raise characters.
