You make the sister the 'camera', but think about how that would look animated. You'd have the same angles all the time and if deliberate shots were being taken the viewer would know something was up immediately. And same thing with Kyosuke's face, how the hell are you supposed to animate that without showing his face?

Just take a look at that image, the proportions are so messed up, that the reader couldn't help but find it jarring, to say the least.
Parasyte anime is a different matter, the art got changed because at the end of the day, it has to sell, and for that they decided appealing to a newer audience was the way to go, it's a business after all, even if it may come as a regrettable decision to old fans.
I want houseki no kuni as a full series, sane art style and everything. The pacing in the manga is slow but that could be fixed.
