Probably, the most likely thing for him to do is open the fight by throwing a flashbang at Musashi's face. Musashi has that habit of staring straight ahead unflinching like when Retsu blew mounds of sand in his face in the arena. Probably, he would just observe the flashbang. Then bang, Motobe's on him with a knife at his neck and the fight's over.

Hanayama was able to more-or-less ignore a flashbang at the beginning of New Grappler so I'm a bit wary of that fact, but, as Musashi has zero familiarity with high lighting or the general phenomena involved, I can see him getting at least briefly stunned by one.
I really do want Motobe to win their fight, no matter how low or dirty he has to go to do it. I'd love it if he packed an SMG to his fight with Musashi - Musashi has yet to be introduced to automatic/semi-automatic guns; he only knows about pistols. The thing is, with what Motobe said in this chapter (and the others prior), it's hard to know what he intends to do with Musashi. Would he have any interest in sparing Musashi? Why/why not?

Not true. There was a 2 year gap between SoO and Dou, during which everybody thought that the manga was over. I think Itagaki just didn't necessarily like the ending that he wrote for SoO; didn't feel like he explored enough of his world, and wanted to go further with it. I can see only one arc after Musashi before it's really over.

Ayyo, the Scarface chapter is out! I've missed Kureha. It's nice to see him doing something active again, even if it is at a different point in time. Same. I think it's in-part because of the early bit in Grappler where Baki learns that he did all those horrible experiments and mutilations to people in the name of medicine. You can't really take that reputation back afterwards, and it'd be hard to write him in as someone that nobody liked.
