I don't think Oreimo is for you if you think the first 6 volumes are more or less the same story over and over. Even within those there is substantial character development for Kyousuke and Kirino and I never found it to be repetitive, though volume 5 was really boring.

Volume 5, and it's counterpart in the series, were dull as dirt because the newly introduced characters were just filler content.
Every volume so far has started off with a blatant and absolute negation of all developments from the previous volume.

Did you not understand that he's in denial? He repeats those lines like a credo because he doesn't want to admit that he might have romantic interest in her. It doesn't negate nor reset the character development, from volume to volume the siblings get closer and spend more time together,
he even admits in volume 2 that he does care for Kirino and doesn't want the progress in their relationship to be lost. You shouldn't take everything he says or thinks literal, it's often dishonest and you have to figure out what is actually going on, which is why I really like the series.

Yes, yes. He's conveniently as thick as a rhinoceros' ass, and lacks the ability to have basic cognitive skills.
As far as him struggling with the conflict of his feelings and taboo, this is not a feature of his character in any of the volumes beyond circumstantial 'outbursts.' And it conflicts with his character in a basic way. He has no problem with porn, and doesn't really care if he is a failure in life or school. It's against his character to, even within himself, have such an extreme and pronounced case of utter denial.
Like I said, the character development, which does happen, is unacceptably redundant and stagnant over the first 5 volumes.
