The changes are too drastic to be summed up by closeups of characters. Compare a page of early part 1 to late part 7 and they look like completely different series.

All of part one looks like it's done in the early stage, but part 2 easily looks like it could be from part 7.

Though there are some famous exceptions. Like Picasso, for example.
