So I was looking at a list of remakes that are going to be made by American studios in the next 5 years and I'll tell you what I saw
Ghost in the Shell (no duh)
Akira (is that even still a thing)
2 Death Note movies (Why 2 death note movies and will Zach Effron be playing Light)
Now I saw online that there are 2 reasons why there are so many American made anime movies.
Reason 1: America really wants to suck Japan's dick
Reason 2: Ever since that strike back like 8 years ago studios aren't willing to make movies with new ideas in hear that it would cause another strike so they are going after anything they can get their hands on.

Everything has been nothing but adaptions and remakes for awhile now. But now they're running out of interesting material. That's why they're grabbing at lightnovels and anime. They do a piss-poor job every time, I don't know why they even bother. Even Edge of Tomorrow was struggling in American Box Offices.
I kinda want to see an American made Death Note movie to be honest. I mean of all the places to kill criminals and get away with it, I feel like America would be perfect.

Guillermo del Toro maybe be involved in a Neon Genesis Evangelion live action movie that is directed by Micheal Bay and he never lost the rights to make it.
Pacific Rim was something that Guillermo Del Toro wanted to do in the mean time and he was rumored to be involved but said recently "Michael (Bay) should just let the Japanese handle the project"
