Be honest - it doesn't even really make sense with "macros" (lol). Gundam has wasteful human-like movement which would never happen with a machine.
This was seriously the most catchy anime opening, I couldn't help but sing along every episode.

Haro is only AI. Gundam has data analyze which helps to tweak weapon systems and response times.
They do mention that there is different programs for zero gravity combat.

It does but the series hammers it in really hard that the Gundam is doing most of the work. Ramba Ral was the first fight where Amuro realized he needs to get it together and become a better pilot.
