Right, but I don't see Kerry letting Shirou go to talk with Kerei even for a first time. I suppose a plot-related reason allowing the two together would happen, regardless. Kerei definitely wouldn't be able to pick and choose what he tells Shirou though. With Kerry a part of Shirou's network, the initial mystery just doesn't exist. From there it's a BR and finding out about the corruption of the Grail.
Rin would probably be forced to see Shirou as an enemy, because with Kerry's guidance, he probably wouldn't be seen as harmless as he is in the VN. I don't know if they would team up, it'd sort of be like HF without Sakura forcing them together.
Assuming a Rin/Shirou alliance, Archer-Shirou-Kerry talks could be pretty interesting.
But yeah, Ilya's a mixed bag. either she turns both of them into dolls or she goes full daddy's girl
