Nah man, it's just a tool. A simulated Soul King, it has the ability to grant power from itself according to the potential of the recipient, like Ichigo and Yhwach. Besides, it's using Aizen as its vessel and keeping him alive. Without it Aizen doesn't have the physical resillience to be in this fight, all it would take is one clean hit.
I do hope the SK will put up some sort of fight, don't get me wrong, but ultimately he will die and be replaced, as Komamura's great grandfather said would happen.

We still don't know what Ichigo's bankai will end up looking like. Until Ywachgetsu and Zangetsu merged, Zangetsu, his shinigami power, took on the form of hollow powers. Does that mean his bankai is likely to look similar to the Horned Hollow Ichigo form?
Kubo has changed Ichigo's power and power dynamics around so much that we don't even know what thematic belongs to what. I actually believe Mugetsu was Letzt Stil with traces of shinigami/hollow power. There's some plot holes, like how Isshin would know about it, but it could be Kisuki and/or Masaki let him know that Ichigo would likely learn something like a Letzt Stil.
Urahara, especially, always happens to know everything. He knows Ichigo is part Quincy, and as such he might have guessed that Ichigo would be able to learn something similar to Letzt Stil/Quincy Final Form. And after all, the form his power took on during the Dangai training, before he learned "The Final Getsuga" was that of Tensa Zangetsu (which we now know is his Quincy power) with traces of Hollow Ichigo (which we now know is the actual Zangetsu) like parts of the mask and all. I'm sure that form was a personification of his power. Which means Mugetsu = Quincy Letzt Stil + a bit of Hollow Ichigo/Zangetsu power.

First his Zangetsu's bankai (will resemble Horned Hollow Form a lot) and Völlstandig (will resemble Mugetsu a lot) will be separate, and he'll take on Yhwach for a while by changing between Hollow/Shinigami power and Quincy power to do damage. Then he will finally be able to merge the two powers, mixing them into one single form that resembles the best qualities of both forms, before he will assrape Yhwach.
Normally, I would say: "The ability to spam Mugetsu in a Völlstandig form? Too OP. But after what we've seen, what level Yhwach is currently at, even before absorbing the powers of the elite Sternritters back into himself and going back to his full power, he'll need to be able to spam "fuck you" missiles (Mugetsu) to even be able to take him on. a lot of speculation is possible at this point, I mean it could be that the soul king gave the shinigamis their power in the first place, what would explain why bach can do that as well or the soul king created everything and bach knows that and him calling the soul king "father" was a figurative way to say that the soul king is the creator of everything.
It makes you wonder why the shinigamis can "heal" the hollows while the quincy destroy their existence, causing an unbalance, I mean Bach gave them the power to do so in the first place, so maybe that was part of his plan.

The other characters, Yoruichi, Ganju, Orihime, Chad, The Fullbringers, Yoruichi's brother, the Vizards (that remain), Ukitake and Shunsui will probably take on the Elite Sternritters and Haschwald (Shunsui again, if not Ukitake as well).
Ishida will betray Yhwach (a la Gin) and then die/nearly die. If he doesn't die, he'll be incapacitated for a bit.
Ichigo will take on Yhwach one-on-one for a while, which sort of works with his new power, until the Elite Sternritters are on the verge of dying, and the people fighting them are exhausted/incapacitated. Then Yhwach absorbs their powers and kills them and becomes final boss. If Ishida isn't dead, he'll use his own The Asspull powers and double-team him with Ichigo.
Eventually, they'll manage to defeat Yhwach with the power of "muh mamoru", and then the chapter cuts to the Soul King, who had been presumed dead all this time. The Soul King's seemingly dying body then struggles to lift itself from the ground, but after a few seconds, it manages. The Soul King then slowly lifts his head to look up at the people watching him with shock, only for reality itself to shatter and break into little pieces, revealing that he was Aizen all along.
With sadistic glee, he calls out:
