The one issue I have is that they made the character that I had the least attachment to suffer the most. So instead of making me shed a tear it's more like a fun ride. I like it but it doesn't have the same impact as sayaka's death scene for example (fucking decretum still gets me to this day).
All they did to make Karin useless and irrelevant to the plot also lessened any attachment for me.

Has anyone ever considered the possibility that they might actually defeat the gods of Heaven?
They've been inside Shinju's barrier for 300 years, theoretically. It strikes me as odd that the Yuusha system looks like something so new. How were they surviving until now? And then you remember that the vertexes that have crossed the barrier have only managed to do so because Shinju-sama LET them, as was clearly stated once.
What if the Yuusha System is not a defense system, but an attack system that's being developed to counter against the "gods of heaven", as Taisha chose to call them? The battles we've seen so far, not counting Tougou's defection, are actually experiments, as evidenced by the fast evolution of the Hero System based on their battle data on the LN.
Yuuna being the Hero with the most potential manages to fulfill Taisha's ambition and defeat the "gods", or at least to some degree show that it is possible for mankind to counter the invaders, opening the hope for a rebound of mankind.
