It's weird, because I loved Tsuritama and overall enjoy Uki's stuff, but the style of the faces can't really work here for me.
I mean, it's not like it's difficult to try to reproduce Nakatsuru's faces.
Anyway, It's going to take a while to get used to. Uki style in this could resemble a bit of Hosoda's style from the movies, so it couldn't be that bad.

I've watched it all subbed and I still tend to use dub names. As for Digimon names, I've played most of the games which tend to use a mishmash of dub and original names.
Was it just me or did the dud of Adventure have more emotion in some places? like when Angemon died I remember it being much sadder in the dub and Taichi seemed to care more when he fucked up with SkullGreymon

I don't think Digimon really tackles that, doesn't it? It's more of a positive vibe series/franchise. It has never tackled the black and grey morality of an antagonist. Cause most of the evil Digimon we encountered are jerkasses or pure evil.
