I don't mind a Caster appreciation thread
I was never the biggest fan of caster, but this episode instantly converted me. I'm so glad she doesn't bite the bullet quickly in UBW.

I never understood the point of command spells being the whole deterrent for not killing their master. I mean if you think about it, servants are ridiculously powerful and could kill a person in the blink of an eye, surely faster than one could invoke a command spell to save themselves from an instant death. So there was no need for caster to have her master waste 3 command spells before finally killing him.

They keep going on like this is the case but Saber knows she's not going to murder Shirou as soon as she knows he's out and...Saber knows nothing happens, we know nothing happens, we've seen Waver burn all 3 in one go to boost Rider.

Command Spells are pretty much Sorcery Tier, newfag.
Even Saber can only barely freeze herself in her desperate attempt to resist the spell but if Kiritsugu had the patience to wait, Saber's body would have eventually auto Excaliblast as Saber becomes too mentally exhuasted to resist the spell any further.
