No, it isn't a trick like the "Running hot and cold water over a metal spoon" thing.
The heat makes the seal loosen, making it easier to twist off.
You only run the lid under the water, not the jar itself. Use a paper towel to dry it off if necessary.
The benefit of this is it doesn't mess with the seal long term, like using a spoon as a prybar or puncturing the top does.
You can also use ducttape as leverage, but I find the hot water method simpler.

Saitamas power lies in his comedy plot armor.
This means that any powerful enemy will be easily defeated, but weak enemy's that are funny for Saitama to struggle against cannot be defeated by him and can actually injur him.
Case in point the mosquito from the first few chapters is impervious to Saitamas attacks, while a cat from a side story is able injure him, where enemy's of dragon level danger cannot.
If you want to beat Saitama all that is required is to set a weak creature or creatures to endurance hunt him.

The mosquito only survived because it was trapped in between the spaces between Saitama's hands. And it didn't bite him a single time.
As for the cat, the "scratches" are somewhat like the scratches when you lightly run your fingernails over your skin. It's basically just peeling off dead detritus. If a cat ACTUALLY scratched someone, they wouldn't try to punch it, they would be on the ground screaming in pain.

That means no reality warping, only hardcore fist punching power or anything related to physics.
If you remove anyone who has powers related to these, Saitama wouldn't be defeated.
However, he could be killed by different means such as starvation, lack of oxygen or being thrown into space.

Could Accelerator beat him? Or is Saitamas body so strong he can withstand the power of his own power? Either way, I'm pretty sure that Accel could still just reverse his blood flow or something. The only downfall I see in this is that Accelerator would have to touch him to do so, and at that point Saitama would of already most likely swung for him if he understood he was a threat.
