Mel was just a weird guy throwing you all for a loop. His second call in ruined all credibility.

After Art Bell died, they dropped his body in the hole in a secret ceremony. Less than a month later, he came back to life. Twice. One Art Bell reappeared in his home, complaining about a stalker. The stalker is the other Art Bell, who seems incapable of speech. Art Bell claims that stalker Art Bell wants to drag him back into Mel's Hole, but he says he won't go. Says there's a "twist in the darkness there, full of their hands," whatever the fuck that means. Also claims that so long as stalker Art Bell doesn't get him back into Mel's Hole, that he can't die now. That he's effectively immortal because "all the parts of me that could die were taken in the hole."
