That's like, 6 stars taken off before even the previews are over. Out of 5.
My point is: Remember to form your own opinions. In all likelihood, critics are going to hate on this film to the excess (throwing around their colorful synonyms for "boring", "uninspired", and the like), but we all know how much blood, sweat and tears were poured into making this film the most authentic game adaptation to date, and we know that kind of dedication is likely to provide us with, at the very least, something of value buried in those 90 minutes.
Or, I'll have been completely wrong and this will all be pointless.
Either way, don't let early negativity get you down; relax and judge the film for yourself.

When almost all the fights are crammed into the final 15 minutes and we only see Honda and Zangief wrestling for 5 seconds then it's a film with problems. There's not much plot in angry birds to "base" anything on so really the only similarity in the movie is that the characters look vaguely like the ones in game.

Why do reviewers keep shitting on it? I really thought it held up. Not only was every aspect completely modernized, but the story was changed just enough to give you a party New experience while retaining the benefits of nostalgia. It was the perfect reboot. Am I the only one that thinks this? It wasn't even casualized, apart from the final boss, the game maintained a very decent challenge.

The original Ratchet and Clank series had really childish and cringey humor.
The make a movie which stays true to it's lame humor. Of course film critics won't like it, the series prided itself on it's gameplay and exploring followed by it's cheesy story. It wouldn't translate well into a movie unless they added a deep underlying meaning.
For instance zootopia, it's only good because it's about racism. Give it bad ratings and you're racist!
