I really liked the shotgun in the original Crysis. Put a laser sight on it and you don't ever need to engage iron sights anymore.
Killing Floor 2 had great shotfuns.

All those craftable ammo types, and you can make them actually realistic with mods.
The first halo, and battlefield games are thee only games i've played with shotguns that can hit shit past like 5 feet away effectively.
