I don't get this. The middle school relationships were all presented as the usual close romantic friendships. Yuuna's the one who actually makes Tougou act clearly and unambiguously in love, something we don't get enough of already without actively wanting to revert one of the few times it does happen.

She's special, sure, but they gave her two weird characteristics that, for me, are interesting. She can accurately read a mood an act accordingly to defuse a situation, and she can't understand why anyone could ever love her. The last one is specially absurd, because Yuuna is like the best person in the cast. Why a girl like her thinks like that? Why a girl that is not socially inept plays the part of the "energetic but silly girl" instead of acting normally? There's something wrong with her, and that "something" is interesting to speculate.
Of course, all of this is subjective and these two traits could be boring to other people.

Yeah, I find it boring. I'm more interested in whether Tougou ever gets over her cynical tendencies and learn to have a little more faith in her friends and herself. The first season only introduced these issues, and going by the side material, Tougou is a little more aware of this now and wants to change. But this is just a start. I'd like a second season to fully develop this and give her some proper character growth.
