I just go with midget, personally. As shortstack is a different thing body-wise, apparently.
I just characterize that as an adult character that is small in size comparable to people with variable body types.

Well, the word shortstack specifically, was definitely a new word in among the /d/ crowd when things were just starting out in there. Then people started giving the word a more definitive description alongside the already present one to start an exclusionary process--namely filtering character designs like lalafell.
Personally, I think the word is causing misinterpretation, as it's becoming a catch-all term for all short characters among less informed, creating tension when people don't understand that it is a bit more definitive, that it describes a certain body-type of short person with varied sizes of big tits and hips.
Shortstack is under appreciated. More please.
