DeFilippo is in his first year and has showed promise. Pettine really helped the defense improve last year and provided he doesn't touch the offense he might be able to get back to that.
O'Neil's defense is pretty much all around garbage.
The important thing to remember is that coaches need time to develop just like players, and that the one thing that's been missing from the Browns since their new start has been consistency. We have to give them a fair chance

It's funny because the Browns have had great play from both of their QBs despite no one expecting anything out of either of them. The team has sunk because of bad blocking, tackling, and drops on the part of our backs almost exclusively.
Some of it is because of youth, some of it because of injuries. I think that we just need better focus and consistency.
If Pettine and/or DeFilippo get fired we'll just be resigning ourselves to more mediocrity
