It is a delusion, anon. It works the same way dissociative identity disorder works. It's a natural defence mechanism you are using to avoid severe loneliness and emotional neglect. It will only cripple you later in life. You should look into therapy, especially if you're young and already this lonely.

food cheers me up temporarily because im fat and food tastes good but then i regret it and wanna kill myself so i eat some later on to cheer myself up because eating feels good

To be honest, visualisation is the hardest part, so I wouldn't recommend starting from there. Create personality, work on voice, then practice visualisation. Good luck!
