Waking up is hard. I can never tell if it's the general shittyness of everything, or yesterdays drinking that irks me.
Now the rain has come from the west, engulfing everything in grey melancholy. The nights will become longer and darker,
my feet will be cold. The winds will shift and new, icy winds will carry snow, frost and winter with it from the Russian mainland.
Those who do not dread seeing their families, will look forward to Christmas. The shops are already pulling out the Christmas decor,
in eager anticipation of the great, chaotic wave of consumers, trying to outdo each other, in giving their offspring the biggest new toy.
I will continue visiting the parks, the empty docs, the woods outside the city, the abandoned industrial areas as I always do,
I will continue finding the solitude I seek, but it will be devoid of the beauty and comfort, those places brought me during autumn.
People will start to isolate themselves. Winter is the greatest season for the government controlled TV-stations. They'll shovel out their usual shit,
in neat new packages and people will buy it, together in beds or on couches. I will remain here, on r9k with you.
Even outside, the blistering rain forces peoples gaze down. The homeless will have to struggle twice as hard, because the generosity of people will vanish with the sun.
I still have a couple of weeks. Weeks of blue skies and fresh breezes. Weeks of drinking in the losers park, or appreciating the smells of autumn.
But soon everything will freeze, my mood will drop like celsius to zero and I will remember just how utterly lonely my world is.
