What kind of question is this? Of course we are, we have our military every where and exert influence on nations against their will.

All the same culture? What are you talking about. When we started fucking with other nations we were all mixed up. North, South, Midwest, Western, Irish, Italian, etc. We unified in war. We are not a one cultural nation.
It was much more unified when we were all white, but we were all very different. Shits weird now, but were still an Empire.

do we have a hegemony over many other nations? yes.
Idk they are very superstitious. You know what they do to smart people because a physicist recommended it? Albeit a white supremacist? They take you while youre sleeping. An innocent bystander. Ans stick tiny wires into your brain. And make you repeat america is great america is great blah blah blah. They believe these brains can exert some force that will keep america going by exerting good humor. In reality they hate themselves. Sooner or later they will destroy themselves and ove way for the next global empire.

U.S. Hegemony has been around since the ACW (American Civil War). Post WWI it was a superpower and post WWII the sole superpower standing. That of course that others weren't hegemonic still like the U.S.S.R. but the USA since The Great War was the only global power left standing.

In a thousand years from now when our descendants write our history they will talk about the American Empire as a continuation of the British.

It's not really a continuation though as if the British have had any input. The Commonwealth nations even align more closely with U.S. policies and mainland culture than they do with the British.

The British don't have any input no but the english speaking systems of govt. are the continuation.
From Britian stems the Commonwealth nations systems too. Consider Britain to be Rome after the fall. The rest of the 5 eyes nations its legacy.
