We are now more capable than ever of watching what is going on and routing it.

I'm at Bragg and I've had plenty of my enlisted guys get involuntarily switched over to 31B, no matter their disciplnary record or score on ASVAB.
When I got back from the sandbox, all of our training since then has been brutal urban-house-to-house combat. Overwhelming numbers of ambushes. That and how to lethally and non-lethally disperse and pacify hostile crowds.
Before I went over to the sandbox they drill in your head every single fucking day of how to spot IED's because all AQ and the Taliban really do is wire roads and paths with 120mm shells. Sometimes they'll have a few ragheads sticking around with AK's to try and kill survivors and film it, but thats it.
The training I've recieved since I've gotten back is how to repel ambushes with overwhelming numbers armed with high-powered rifles, machine guns, etc... not saying that DOESN'T happen in Afghanistan but its definitely not the MO of AQ and Taliban. They don't really have the nuts to fight Army patrols straight up.
So this leads me to believe it's either training for a war with Russia or China, which would be weird because wargames for East scenarios are almost exclusively conducted by Navy, Marines and AF. They would just bomb the hell out of cities, not try to fight door-to-door.
And the most strange thing about this all is that I'm a fucking 13A. Artillery officer. Fire support only. So I can't even imagine what they're teaching the 11A and 11B guys.
This, coupled with the major push against guns recently... I mean it seems so forced. Idk senpai... quite fishy if you ask me. But Obama's """"Army"""" can suck it.

magpul is overrated other than for comfy grips, note that i magpul'd my AKM grip.
some things that feel comfy to hold are less comfy to shoot and vice versa- for example my tapcoshit galil foreend on the akm feels like hammered dogshit just to hold, but when you start pulling the trigger it is suddenly very very comfy and stable.
