If we look at what hitler did, ignoring the longterm consequences, he did bring Germany a a rising economy as well as ending the political instability that had plauged the weimmar republic.
Hitler was also a rather good man attalking with the people, so and his ability to survive assinations made him seen almost immortal for somw.
