I know the ,,poland stronk'' meme but we had some serious breakthroughs while under communist occupation and those breakthroughs were dissipated by the government like they were nothing. I heard that we had developed a computer better than any market-leading IBM products, but it simply didn't have the environment appropriate for such technology to bloom.
