we are held to a higher standard than others. if i'm a black dude and i share a negative opinion about minorities or make a racist/homophobic/whatever comment, nothing happens. if i'm a white dude, you're probably getting fired.
i remember one black female college professor tweeted super racist shit about whites, and she got a slap on the wrist and is still teaching. reverse the roles and there is not a chance in hell you keep your job.
