Scandinavia is not like the rest of Europe. They have a bizarre desire to all be similar and not to stand out. Tall Poppy Syndrome is a big problem there.
Norway had no significant wealth for centuries and was just a poor fishing country so the people don't have a great history or culture like 'lesser' countries like the Czechs or the Poles who are poorer overall but have a much richer culture and history.
Essentially they are hicks with money. You can go and see Fjords in Washington State and Alaska.
