If you're near Rostock, visit 'Karls Erlebnisdorf'. It's a huge gift shop and has the biggest collection of coffee pots in the world.

I don't think Americans are fake, just annoying.
North German here. It's the best part of Germany by far. Also, almost no shitskins.
You might get the notion that people hate you though, but that is just we don't waste words here and consider Americans as very talkative and overpolite.
