I used to be a liberal. I would read sites like slate and the atlantic unironically. I was bothered when they would have feminist or race articles because their basic response to any inequality is to blame white men and say the victim group has no agency. I can remember seeing many articles where they would claim that women can't enter STEM because men are meanies or some bullshit like that.
Then ferguson happened and I realized the same people who believed in liberal economics and feminism also supported the dindu nuffin lie and the whole belief system gradually fell apart for me.
