In ye olden days of 4chan there was a meme known as "Pedobear" that posted in images that pedophiles would supposedly find "interesting." This spread to other places throughout the world.
In Finland, badly-made memes from children and teenagers on spring break or whatever flooded the local imageboards. These were later mockingly recreated under the title of Spurdo Spärde. It also explains the ubiquitous Euro Shopper Energy Drinks and broken English.
Spurdo was then exported out to the rest of the world, and although dormant for a good deal of time was recently re-introduced along with a further corrupted variant known as Gondola, who has a distinctive arch shape.
