Libertarianism is the most rational political philosophy. There's simply no denying it. Why in the hell aren't you a libertarian?
This is so fucking accurate
I am.
Because I stopped smoking weed when I got a decent job.

You don't really know what libertarian is, do you? It shows. It's okay. You have to be born that way. Compared to libertarians, you'll always be some measure of blue pilled. All the red pills are made by the blood of libertarians. It's literally the holy grail.

Because it's the teenager approach to what a rational ideology is. After all not many libertarian philosophers fought in a war or anything of the sort. Most were career academics. Literally who cares?

Libertarians, too smart for socialism, too stupid for anything else.

Statist believe the only way to combat monopolies, caused by state intervention, fight corruption, causes by state intervention, and fight indoctrination, by the state, is with MORE GOVERMENT

the only more rational way is nihilistic anarchism where you even have to justify less... as you don't recognize anything (authority morality property etc...) political noobs on these boards don't know the difference between political ideology and politics itself... but yes libertarians are without a doubt the most logical of the mainstream philosophies
yeah but you just would be a bit of a dick
yeah but you just would be a bit of a kunt
libertarianism worked in 1800s America particularly the wild west when there were fewer idiots and even fewer nignogs, and no mass media, and thus people had morals naturally without a state enforcing it
Because strong nation-states are needed to battle the various global manifestations of unpleasantness in the world today (economic neoliberalism, Islamic fundamentalism, etc.)

I'd argue that Teddy Roosevelt era US was a solid balance of libertarian individualism and nationalism

Evidence isn't confined to the hard sciences. He means arguments and data.
>>55412803
I like T. Roosevelt but I'm a thorough-going nationalist. His support for the Pure Food and Drug Act and national parks would probably draw the ire of most libertarians as statist intrusions.

We have finally accomplished our dream and created a libertarian society.
You walk into work tomorrow. Your boss calls you into his office. He pulls out his cock and tells you to suck it or you are fired. There are no longer any government resources to sue your employer for sexual harassment. Your employer can now do and say whatever he wants and fire you for whatever reason he wants. There is also no longer any unemployment or welfare. If you get fired you will literally starve and die and so will your wife and kids.
>Why in the hell aren't you a libertarian?
Because I don't like sucking cock.
>>55406618
Human beings aren't rational, ergo any attempt to govern human societies via rationality will inevitably fail.
>>55406618
I learned about economics and stopped being 14 years old
Libertarianism is fine in theory, and probably the ideal system for the hardworking man who has no say in government, but it is far from ideal.
What would be ideal would be a period of Fascism, to set the nation on the right track and expunge the leeches and unwanted elements from society. Then a transition to a more Libertarian society can be made.

Libertarianism wouldn't work
You need a government to do the shit the free market won't do
If a free market would naturally fix everything, lawless countries would be far better off than they are
Redistributing wealth keeps money flowing, and keeps the economy strong
