Many schools charge their students mandatory "athletics" fees, which are used to subsidize sports programs. These are separate from "activity fees" which pay for things like exercise equipment, movies, and rock climbing walls for use by all students. The athletics fees are there purely to make up for the losses that the athletics department has.
In pic attached, a student who takes a full load of classes for four years would have to pay $2216 in fees to prop up the sports programs even if they never attend a single game. It's even worse for part time students who are trying to get a degree by taking evening classes. Someone who takes five hours of classes per semester would end up paying $5540 in athletics fees. Actually it would be more because the fee goes up every year but you don't know what the new fee will be until the summer between academic years. When students complain about having so much debt from college, remember a good chunk of it at some schools is due to the sports programs being able to force students to subsidize them. Anyone who does not pay the fees are not allowed to enroll in classes. They're not optional.

For the locker room/field house in the video? Probably $20-$40 million. The recent football stadium expansion was $450 million. Texas A&M probably makes more than that off the football program but the problem is less wealthy schools try to keep up and end up gouging students for the money needed. Currently Georgia State is trying to buy Turner Field, a major league baseball stadium, so they can convert it into a football stadium even though most games they only attract a few thousand students and fans. They'll have to go hundreds of millions into debt to buy the baseball stadium and convert it to football.

Most of them won't go on to the NFL and because they don't take their classes seriously and usually are going to enroll in the easiest degree the school offers, they end up poor when they're done with football. Division I FBS schools can only have 85 students on football scholarship but most large schools have over 100 players because of walk ons who don't get a scholarship. I'm not sure what is the minimum number of player though there are eleven players on each side on the field for each play. They could probably still play the game with thirty or so players but would get absolutely destroyed by the other team since the other team could substitute players to give others a rest while Mizzou would not have that luxury.
