What should I grow in Colorado? Trees, vegetables, fruits, flowers, anything.

This rule applies to anywhere but I'm a very firm believer in growing native or easily naturalized plants, at least when growing outdoors.
I'm not familiar enough with plants throughout Colorado besides the San Juan and Mesa Verde region and even still I never really looked into gardening after all the time I've spent throughout the state.
Weed of course is a must however you might be dedicating most of yer gardening time to that if you plan on planting anything else. All the better reason to stick with native plants that you won't havta care for much, cottage garden style.
