I wanted to do another trackday this year, but the Fireblade eats tires.
I did all trackdays with a very good friend of mine, he has a R6 and we got new K3 tires at the same time, after four days my rear tire is done. He can probably squeeze at least another day at the track on that tire.

Because it rotates 'flat' to the ground, rather than 'rolling' as the forks flop over, you get a large contact patch at extremes of rotation, and the contact patch stays in the same place relative to the bike rather than moving 'out' of the bike and 'in' to the turn. Because the contact patch doens't move sideways, you don't need to lean as much for the same turn radius at the same speed.

What I'm starting to feel lacking in my bike are good suspensions and brakes, after a year of toegays I'm getting kinda fast-ish and now those things could help me a lot.
Not that the cb650f has bad ones, but they aren't really good either. Will go 1-2 more years with this and then move to a quality naked like a monster, tuono, s1000r or something like that.
