I need some advice.
I've been riding small bikes for a long time, but have just started on a Ninja 650.
So far it's great, but my question is this.
Is it big enough to carry pillion? What about for longer distances or high way speeds?
I have noticed every time I do, even riding like a granny, the engine gets much hotter than usual for when I'm riding alone.
Is it a strain on the bike? As in will it cause damage/excessive wear?

I am 6' and about 205-215 lbs somewhere in there. Been getting fat since I left the USAF and putting myself through school.
Anyway I love the "fit" of the bike. I feel very comfortable on the bike and it's very natural feeling while turning. I dislike the super sport and cruiser riding positions though, which a lot of people like so maybe I'm just weird.
The only complaint I *had* about the bike comfort was the wind on my chest at interstate speeds made me feel like I want hanging on the bars for dear life rather than actually riding. My small windshield fixed that problem though.

Don't be scared to go on the interstate. I've found that if you look at a corner from a distance it can look more sharp and intimidating than it really is. Once you get into the turn (remember to start on the *outside* of the lane before the turn) you usually relax because you're looking through the turn (meaning the inside of the curve) trying to find the apex point where you turn to the inside of the curve.

Keep in mind there are a variety of windshields available for the bike, so if you want to keep the wind blast up higher away from your chest there are options out there. I'd guess 6'4" is a bit on the taller side for the bike, but I've read people online that are your height or taller and they enjoy the bike so I think it's more preference than anything.
