If you're worried about winters 4wd is definitely an option if traction is your main concern. If it's body rust, find something with galvanized body panels or account for undercoat and shit in your budget. RWD if you aren't retarded is perfectly fine in icy conditions. Don't buy a FWD sports car for your first car unless you plan on having something you are okay with destroying
