Is Swift driving school worth it?
I'm 22 and only have a GED. Tired of working in factories with lazy ass people. I'm near broke paying off debts from my Dad stealing my identity and still live with the fucker. I just wanna get out. I read about Swift having a trucking school that is close to $0 up front and you get a job after driving trucks.
Is there any better company that has a similar driving school? I have maybe $225 left in my checking account to do something. Located in Virginia.

Start at an electricians apprenticeship.

To my knowledge there is no initial cost.
After testing, you move into apprenticeship 1 and they start you with that salary.
I'm on a GED too and am considering.
You're beat to hell as a trucker. Never home, long hours and low pay for how much effort you put into it.

Don't do it. You'll be fucking beholden to them for the first few years ESPECIALLY if you "lease" the truck from them.
Get your CDL permit (only requires a written test) and become a merchandiser for coke or something. They'll work you up to the big trucks, and then you can move on to trucking on your own without being Swift's bitch.
CDL school is a scam. There's a reason they'll accept any hobo that crosses their path.

Electrical Apprentice here,
that entire list is bullshit.
I started off at 10.15 an hour,
journeymen in my area max out at 22-24 an hour.
Scale jobs are a different story and not everyone can get govnmt jobs.
There is tuition. There is also book cost.
Tool cost is another thing.
IBEW is the unions who pay the most.
Not to mention the toll it will push on your body.
My two training journeyman both had blown out body parts.
We also lost another journeyman to an arc flash when some dumbass mexican drywall asshat dropped a knife in the panel.
HVAC is way safer and pays more.
